How to enjoy a healthy BBQ

Its that time of the year where BBQs become a regular occurrence. Its also that time of the year when people want to get in shape for summer. So what do we do when we want to BBQ and stay in shape?

Here are a few options on how to stick to your diet:

- HECK low fat Pork Sausages

- HECK Chicken Sausages
- Turkey Sausages
- Bacon medallions
- Chicken skewers
- Fillet steak
- Sweet potato fries
- Salmon Fillets
- Low Fat beef burgers
- Asparagus

Having a BBQ within itself isn't actually unhealthy at all, providing you don't cook with oils. Most veg you can cook on a BBQ and sweet potato fries are a great choice of carbs. BBQs become incredibly calorific when we add things such as oils, sauces, bread and buns with high-in-fat meats. Then obviously there is the alcohol element and deserts! The meats listed above are high in protein and low in fat meals which make it perfect for a BBQ if your watching your figure for the summer. Salad bowls are also a fantastic option too! So enjoy the summer and stick to your diet!
